According to the invention the method is characterized by the combination of the following steps: a relatively thin band of suitable length and provided with two longitudinal edge portions is cut off from a band roll of a certain width; the one end portion of the band is designed like a projection (3), intended to be bent round the edge portion of the hanging gutter; the two longitudinal edge portions of the band are bent inwards so that the bent band becomes narrower and thicker than the original band, whereby the torsional rigidity of the band increases; that portion (2) of the bent band which is arranged close to the projection (3) is bent to a form which is like a U so that the portion can receive the hanging gutter.

Ledit procédé se caractérise par la combinaison des étapes suivantes: on découpe une bande relativement mince de longueur appropriée dotée de parties de bordure longitudinale dans une tôle d'une certains largeur; la partie à une extrémité de la bande forme une saillie (3) destinée à être enroulée autour de la partie de bordure de la gouttière pendante; on cintre vers l'intérieur les deux parties de bordure longitudinale de la bande de sorte que cette dernière soit plus étroite et plus épaisse que la bande d'origine et que la rigidité en torsion de cette dernière soit augmentée; on cintre la partie (2) de la bande cintrée située à proximité de la saillie (3) de sorte qu'elle forme un U et puisse recevoir la gouttière pendante.
