The Government of Tamil Nadu has taken decisive steps to address the nutrition and health needs of children below six years, pregnant women, lactating mothers and adolescent girls benefitting under the ICDS. With a strong push towards universalization of the ICDS programme, ICDS services have been steadily extended to serve unreached habitations, under-served populations and hard to reach areas of the State.
