কিডনিতে গঠিত মূত্র শীর্ষে অবস্থিত একটি রেনাল প্যাপিলার মধ্য দিয়ে লঘু বৃতিতে যায়. দুইটি বা তিনটি লঘু বৃতি মিলিত হয়ে একটি গুরু বৃতি (major calyx) গঠন করে, যেখান থেকে মূত্র রেনাল পেলভিস হয়ে ইউরেটারে প্রবেশ করে।
