(2) Nothing contained in or done under the authority of any law shall be held to be inconsistent with or in contravention of this Article to the extent that the law in question authorizes the infliction of any description of punishment that was lawful in Grenada immediately before the coming into operation of this Constitution.

(2) Nada de lo dispuesto por una ley o hecho bajo la autoridad de una ley será considerado incongruente con este artículo o en contravención de este artículo en la medida en que la ley en cuestión autorice la aplicación de alguna descripción de castigo que fuera legal en Grenada inmediatamente antes de entrar en vigor la presente Constitución.
