At the same time, a Christian should not be naïve and credulous in questions of faith, "tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine." On the contrary, he should be sufficiently informed to be able to teach others how to believe correctly (1 Peter 3:15). Inspirited with love, the object of our labors should be directed towards the good of our loved ones.

No entanto, quanto às questões sobre o ensinamento da fé, o cristão não deve ser ingênuo e crédulo "ao sabor das ondas e agitado por qualquer sopro de doutrina," mas ao contrário, ele deve estar bem informado para ensinar os outros a crerem corretamente (cf. 1Pdr 3:15; 2Pdr 3:17).
