(a)&(b) Government have noted that the spokesperson of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in response to a report in an Indian newspaper about China building a barrage on the River Sutlej in Tibet, has reportedly stated as follows: "In recent years, the Chinese side has constructed a small-scale hydropower station on the Langqinzangbu (Sutlej River) at Zhada County in the Tibet Autonomous Region, to satisfy the daily electricity needs of local population.

(क)और(ख) सरकार ने इस बात को नोट किया है कि तिब्बत में सतलज नदी पर चीन द्वारा एक बैराज बनाने से संबंधित एक भारतीय समाचार-पत्र में आयी खबर की प्रतिव्रिया में चीन के विदेश मंत्रालय के प्रवक्ता ने कहा,ू हाल के वर्षों में चीनी पक्ष ने तिब्बत स्वायत्त क्षेत्र में झादा कंट्री में लंगकिंजांगबु (सतलज नदी) पर, स्थानीय जनता की दैनिक विद्युत आवश्यकताओं की पूर्ति के लिए एक लघु पनबिजली स्टेशन का निर्माण किया है ।
