It is said that, since the museum had a natural products division when it was established, a variety of flowers, trees and plants have been planted in the garden. Five teahouses called "Okyokan," "Kujokan," "Rokusoan," "Tengoan" and "Shunsoro" are built in the garden. There are also many historical monuments, including the stone monument of Hisanari Machida, the first director of the museum, five-storied pagoda, stone monument of the second Domestic Industrial Exposition and p orcelain lantern.

정원에 있는 꽃과 초목의 종류가 다양한 것은 박물관 창설 당시에 동식물을 다루던 덴잔부가 있었기 때문이 아닌가 전해지고 있습니다. 정원 안에는 오쿄관, 구조관을 비롯해 로쿠소암, 덴고암, 슌소로의 5동의 다실이 배치되어 있습니다. 또한, 박물관 초대 관장인 마치다 히사나리의 비, 오중탑, 제2회 내국권업박람회의 비, 철등롱 등 역사적인 기념물도 많습니다.
