The Parties consider that the deployment of closed bloc-based anti-ballistic missile defence systems in the theatre of operations in the Asia and Pacific region may upset stability and security in the region and bring about an escalation of the arms race, and express their support for the position of China, which opposes plans to include Taiwan in the anti-ballistic missile defence system in the theatre of operations by any State in whatever form
