Se trata del periodista venezolano Johan Contreras, conocedor del baloncesto de ese país, y quien aseguró que claramente el devenir en la vida deportiva del basquetero es incierta, aunque evaluando la situación, es probable que hayan dos opciones claras: una, que finalmente se retire, pues la lesión es más compleja de lo normal y tome la opción de dirigir a escala universitaria en los Estados Unidos, y la otra, que vuelva a la NBA o un baloncesto un poco menos exigente, opción que ve más viable, y haga, por lo menos, una temporada de puesta a punto y otra más de calidad.
