Disclosed is a screen image encoding method, comprising: obtaining and storing one or more candidate blocks, which are spatially co-located with a current block, from images encoded prior to a current image; determining whether a reference block used to encode the current block is in the stored one or more candidate blocks; and encoding at least one of index information indicating the reference block, prediction information used in encoding the current block from the reference block, and information for the current block, on the basis of the result of the determining.

스크린 영상 부호화 방법에 있어서, 현재 영상보다 먼저 부호화된 영상들로부터, 현재 블록과 공간적으로 동일한 위치의 하나 이상의 후보 블록을 획득하여 저장하고, 상기 저장된 하나 이상의 후보 블록 중 상기 현재 블록의 부호화에 이용되는 참조 블록이 있는지 여부를 결정하고, 상기 결정 결과에 기초하여, 상기 참조 블록을 가리키는 인덱스 정보, 상기 참조 블록으로부터 상기 현재 블록을 부호화할 때 이용되는 예측 정보 및 상기 현재 블록에 대한 정보 중 적어도 하나를 부호화하는 부호화 방법이 개시된다.
