Considering the large role local government capital companies have in management of apartment houses, the State Audit Office conducted an audit at the Ministry of Economics; the executive power institution responsible for housing policy, and eight local government capital companies in Olaine, Dobele, Grobiņa, Ludza and Talsi Districts, as well as in Jēkabpils, Rēzekne and Liepāja.
