By means of Executive Decree No # of # ctober # the Government of Ecuador declared a state of emergency in respect of the national police force in the areas of infrastructure, communications and logistics, forensic investigation, community police units, welfare and social security and instructed the Ministry of Economic Affairs to identify a source, as a matter of priority, of funding for the immediate outfitting of the force in these areas. This measure is designed to give the institution the reinforcement it needs in order to do its job properly

En ese sentido el Estado ecuatoriano mediante Decreto ejecutivo No # de # de octubre de # declaró en estado de emergencia a la Policía Nacional en las áreas de infraestructura, comunicaciones y medios logísticos, investigación científico forense, policía comunitaria, de bienestar y seguridad social, disponiéndose al Ministerio de Economía identificar prioritariamente el financiamiento para el inmediato equipamiento en estas áreas para cumplir con los objetivos de la institución reconociendo que necesitan ser fortalecidas
