While noting the progress made in the Netherlands in creating a national framework for combating domestic violence, the Committee remains concerned that the formulation of the framework remains gender-neutral, undermining the notion that such violence is a clear manifestation of discrimination against women.

Si bien el Comité observa que en los Países Bajos se ha progresado en la creación de un marco nacional para combatir la violencia doméstica, sigue considerando preocupante que en su formulación se utilicen términos neutros en cuanto al género, restando así fundamento a la idea de que este tipo de violencia es una clara manifestación de la discriminación contra la mujer.

Tout en notant les progrès accomplis aux Pays-Bas dans la création d’un cadre national de lutte contre la violence familiale, le Comité demeure toutefois préoccupé par le fait que la formulation du cadre reste neutre au regard des sexes, faussant la notion que ce type de violence est une manifestation évidente de la discrimination à l’égard des femmes.
