De acuerdo con la teoría de la revolución permanente de León Trotski (que se basa dialécticamente en las teorías del Manifiesto Comunista), por medio del principio científico del desarrollo histórico igual, desigual y combinado, la Venezuela contemporánea se encuentra en la globalización; pero como resultado de los mecanismos coloniales y neo-coloniales, todavía le queda por completar ciertas tareas burgués-democráticas de la Revolución Francesa, por ejemplo, el obsoleta y el Estado revolucionario moderno.
