From these plants species, 6 extracts (25%) including the methanolwater of Hypochoeris spp. and Momordica charantia L., the ones obtained with methanol from Eucaliptus globulus, Argemone mexicana L. and Plantago major, as well as the one obtained with chloroform from Plantago major, showed partial antimalarial activity reducing the parasites' growth in a range from 32% to 58%. It could be seen that the average parasitemia in the treated animals was statistically different (P< 0.05) to the one presented in the untreated group.

De estas especies de plantas, 6 (25%) extractos, incluyendo el obtenido con metanol agua de Hypochoeris spp. y de Momordica charantia L., los obtenidos con metanol de Eucaliptus globulus, Argemone mexicana L. y Plantago major, así como el extraído con cloroformo de Plantago major, exhibieron actividad antimalárica parcial reduciendo el crecimiento de los parásitos de 32% a 58%, con estos extractos la parasitemia media de los animales tratados fueron estadísticamente diferentes (P< 0,05) a las del grupo control no tratado.
