Als Fängerdetektoren für die aus dem Ge(Li) austretenden Compton-Streuquanten dienen zwei zylindrische NaJ(Tl)-Kristalle (8′′ Ø × 4′′ mit jeweils halbzylindrischer Bohrung), die den Zentraldetektor in optimaler Geometrie umgeben.

To absorb the compton scattered gamma rays the central detector is surrounded by two cylindrical NaI(Tl) crystals (8′′ dia × 4′′ ht). Each of these crystals has a 1.5′′ radius semi-circular slot cut in its face to provide optimum design of the multicrystal device.
