وتأتي هذه البعثة في نطاق الجهود المكثفة التي يبذلها الرئيس الحالي وخاصة منذ عملية تعليق المحادثات عن قرب في الجزائر واستئناف الأعمال الحربية بين إثيوبيا وإريتريا، الجهود التي ترمي إلى وضع حد فوري للقتال وحمل الطرفين على العودة بسرعة إلى مائدة التفاوض من أجل الانتهاء من وضع الترتيبات التقنية الموحدة وبالتالي تنفيذ الاتفاق الإطاري وأشكال تنفيذه من أجل حل النزاع على الحدود بين الطرفين بالوسائل السلمية وبشكل نهائي

This mission falls within the purview of the intensive efforts made by the current Chairman and particularly since the adjournment of the Algiers proximity talks and the resumption of hostilities between Ethiopia and Eritrea, efforts aimed at putting an immediate end to the fighting and bringing back quickly the two Parties to the negotiating table for the finalization of consolidated Technical Arrangements and consequently the implementation of the Framework Agreement and the Modalities for the peaceful and definitive resolution of the border dispute between the two Parties

La misión se realiza en el marco de los intensos esfuerzos del actual Presidente, y en particular tras la suspensión de las conversaciones de proximidad en Argel y la reanudación de las hostilidades entre Etiopía y Eritrea, tendientes a poner fin de inmediato a la lucha y hacer regresar prontamente ambas partes a la mesa de negociaciones para la conclusión de los Arreglos Técnicos Consolidados y la consiguiente aplicación del Acuerdo Marco y las Modalidades, a fin de lograr una resolución pacífica y definitiva de la controversia fronteriza entre ambas partes

Cette mission s'inscrivait dans le cadre des efforts intensifs déployés par le Président en exercice, et en particulier depuis l'ajournement des pourparlers indirects d'Alger et la reprise des hostilités entre l'Éthiopie et l'Érythrée, efforts qui visent à mettre immédiatement un terme aux combats et à ramener rapidement les deux parties à la table des négociations en vue de mettre définitivement au point une nouvelle version des arrangements techniques avant d'appliquer l'Accord-cadre et les Modalités en vue du règlement pacifique et définitif du différend frontalier entre les deux parties

Эта поездка проводилась в рамках активных усилий, предпринимаемых действующим Председателем ОАЕ, особенно после того, когда были прерваны непрямые переговоры в Алжире, и после возобновления военных действий между Эфиопией и Эритреей,- усилий, направленных на незамедлительное прекращение военных действий и безотлагательное возвращение обеих сторон за стол переговоров в целях завершения работы над сводными Техническими процедурами, а следовательно и в целях осуществления Рамочного соглашения и Способов выполнения для окончательного и мирного урегулирования территориального спора между двумя сторонами
