Das bisher Heilige Kongregation des Heiligen Offiziums genannte Dikasterium trägt in Zukunft die Bezeichnung Kongregation für die Glaubenslehre. Ihre Aufgabe es ist, die Lehre über den Glauben und die Sitten in Bereich der ganzen katholischen Welt zu schützen.

That which was hitherto called the Sacred Congregation of the Holy Office will become the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, whose duty it is to safeguard doctrine on faith and morals in the whole Catholic world.
