گذشتهٔ فال آبادتر و بزرگتر از حال خود بودهاست؛ و شهرها و روستاهای اطراف همگی جز فال بودهاند ۱؛ بهطوریکه ابن بطوطه در سفرنامه خود این چنین آورده: «و از خنج پال (فال) به جزیره کیس (کیش) رفتیم.».
