Examination of the pKMCS(80% methylcellosolve) of amino alcohols and amines derived from tert-butylcyclohexane shows that introduction of a tertiary butyl group in the adjacent position to a hydroxyl leads, by comparison to the non-substituted cyclohexanol, to a flattening of this portion of the ring when the hydroxyl and tert-butyl groups are trans; when the groups are cis a straightening occurs.

L'examen des pK (dans le méthyl-cellosolve à 80%: pKMCS) d'aminoalcools et d'amines dérivés du tert-butylcyclohexane montre que l'introduction d'un groupement tert-butyle en position 2 d'un groupement hydroxyle provoque par rapport au cyclohexanol non substitué un aplatissement de cette partie du cycle lorsque l'hydroxyle et le tert-butyle sont trans; elle provoque un redressement lorsque ces groupements sont cis.
