Ships to be recycled in India shall be required to obtain a Ready for Recycling Certificate in accordance with the HKC Salient features: The Government of India has decided to enact a Bill, namely Recycling of Ships Bill, 2019, to provide for the regulation of recycling of ships by setting certain international standards and laying down the statutory mechanism for enforcement of such standards.

ભારતમાં રિસાઇકલ કરવા માટેના જહાજોને HKC અનુસાર રિસાઇકલિંગ માટે તૈયાર હોવાનું પ્રમાણપત્ર મેળવવાનું રહેશે. મુખ્ય વિશેષતાઓ: ભારત સરકારે કેટલાક આંતરરાષ્ટ્રીય ધોરણો નક્કી કરીને અને આવા ધોરણોના અમલીકરણ માટે બંધારણીય તંત્રપ્રણાલી લાવીને જહાજોના રિસાઇકલિંગના નિયમન માટે, રિસાઇકલિંગ ઑફ શિપ્સ બિલ, 201 નામનો અધિનિયમ બનાવવાનો નિર્ણય લીધો છે.
