Il ricovero, posizionato in maniera baricentrica rispetto all’intero corpo di fabbrica dell’edificio, mantiene tutte le caratteristiche specifiche dei rifugi antiaerei e, sulle pareti, alcune scritte con le indicazioni dei servizi corrispondenti ai piani superiori; occupa una superficie di 475 mq ed è in cemento armato, con portelloni metallici antigas, realizzati dalle Officine aeronautiche Gambarotta di Torino. Il rifugio presenta muri spessi circa 20 cm, è completamente indipendente dall’impianto strutturale dell’intero edificio e isolato perimetralmente da un’intercapedine di circa 125 cm.
