Les produits en acier spécialisé (produits en acier inoxydable laminé à plat, barres d’acier inoxydable, fils et produits tréfilés, acier à outils allié, acier à moules et acier rapide) ont été ajoutés à la LMIC à compter du 1er juin 1987, conformément à une modification législative visant à assujettir les importations de produits en acier à un contrôle dans certaines conditions.
