The hydraulic ram is then activated to force the tip of the penetrator into the bulkhead and ultimately through the bulkhead, after which water may be sprayed into the area behind the bulkhead where a fire may be burning through spray orifices in the nozzle section, the water being injected into the nozzle section through a fitting on the opposite side of the bulkhead from the spray orifices.

On actionne le piston hydraulique, de manière à pousser l'extrémité de l'élément de pénétration à l'intérieur de la cloison étanche et, ensuite, à traverser celle-ci; on peut ensuite pulvériser de l'eau dans la zone située derrière la cloison étanche, où un incendie peut s'être déclaré, à travers les orifices de pulvérisation de la buse, l'eau étant injectée à l'intérieur de ladite buse à travers un raccord situé du côté opposé de la cloison étanche à partir des orifices de pulvérisation.
