وتعتبر الشراكات في مجال التشريعات المحددة والتدابير ذات الصلة التي يمكن تحقيق فيها آثار كبيرة وسيلة ناجحة لتسريع التدابير؛ ويمكن ملاحظة ذلك في النجاحات التي حققتها الشراكة من أجل الوقود والمركبات النظيفة، التي يسرت التخلص الكامل تقريباً من الرصاص في البنزين (الغازولين) في البلدان المتقدمة والبلدان التي تمر اقتصاداتها بمرحلة انتقالية.([footnoteRef:119]) واشتركت الحكومات وأصحاب المصلحة في التحالف العالمي للقضاء على طلاءات الرصاص لإدخال حدود قانونية على الرصاص في الطلاء بحلول عام 2020.([footnoteRef:120]) ولدى 59 بلداً حتى الآن مثل هذه التشريعات، بما في ذلك القوانين واللوائح الجديدة التي وضعت مؤخراً في نيبال والفلبين وسري لانكا.

Partnerships on specific legislation and related measures where significant impacts can be attained are a successful way to accelerate measures; this can be seen in the successes of the Partnership for Clean Fuels and Vehicles, which has facilitated the almost complete phasing out of lead in petrol in developed countries and countries in transition.[footnoteRef:121] Governments and stakeholders have partnered in the Global Alliance to Eliminate Lead in Paint to introduce legal limits on lead in paint by 2020.[footnoteRef:122] So far 59 countries have such legislation, including recent new laws and regulations in Nepal, the Philippines and Sri Lanka.

Las asociaciones sobre medidas legislativas específicas y afines, con las que se pueden obtener efectos importantes, son una manera viable de acelerar su aplicación; esto se puede observar en los éxitos de la Alianza en favor de combustibles y vehículos menos contaminantes, que ha facilitado la eliminación más completa del plomo en la gasolina en los países desarrollados y en países con economías en transición[footnoteRef:121]. Los gobiernos y las entidades interesadas han mancomunado esfuerzos en la Alianza Mundial para Eliminar el Plomo en la Pintura a fin de introducir límites legales al plomo en la pintura para 2020[footnoteRef:122]. Hasta el momento 59 países cuentan con una legislación de ese tipo, entre otros, Filipinas, Nepal y Sri Lanka, que aprobaron recientemente nuevas leyes y reglamentos.
