Shortly after the enunciation of C. Darwin’s theory, two basic schools of thought came to life, the first where the members saw the direct descent of the human being from the apes as obvious, so much that after them, primitive men at different stages of evolution, which had remained isolated inside the African and Asiatic tropical forests and where might be read the first proto-traces of the human intelligence, evidenced by their manual abilities, like in the instance of the chimpanzee when the same utilizes a small stick for collecting ants or termites inside their nest.

Poco después de la presentación de la teoría de C. Darwin, se formaron fundamentalmente dos corrientes de pensamiento. En la primera se consideraba obvio la descendencia directa según ellos, hombres primitivos en diversos estados evolutivos, permaneciendo aislados al interno de las selvas tropicales africanas y asiáticas y en los cuales se podía leer las primeras trazas de inteligencia humana, confirmada por sus habilidades manuales, como por ejemplo el utilizo de un pequeño bastón, por parte del chimpancé, para capturar hormigas o termitas en la madriguera.
