وفي ظل التعقيدات التي ينطوي عليها استخراج جثث ضحايا النزاعات المسلحة والتعرف على هويات أصحابها في إقليم جمهورية يوغسلافيا الاتحادية الاشتراكية السابقة نظراً لاستخراج الرفات بعد عدة سنوات ووصوله إلى حالة لا تكفي فيها الأساليب التقليدية لتحديد هويات أصحابه، أتاح أسلوب تحليل الحمض النووي إمكانات للتعرف على هويات أصحاب الرفات على وجه اليقين.

Given the complexity of the situation in exhumation and identification of victims of armed conflicts in the territory of the former SFRY, because remains are exhumed after several years and they are in such a condition that classical methods of identification are insufficient, the method of DNA analysis created possibilities for certain identification of remains.

Dada la complejidad de la situación en los casos de exhumación e identificación de víctimas de conflictos armados en el territorio de la ex República Federativa Socialista de Yugoslavia, debido a que los restos se exhuman cuando han transcurridos varios años y se encuentran en un estado en el que no bastan los métodos clásicos de identificación, el análisis del ADN ofrece nuevas posibilidades de identificación segura de los restos.

Vu la complexité de la situation en ce qui concerne l’exhumation et l’identification des victimes de conflits armés sur le territoire de l’ex-République fédérative socialiste de Yougoslavie, qui s’explique par le fait que les restes sont exhumés des années après le décès et qu’ils sont dans un état qui rend les méthodes classiques d’identification insuffisantes, le recours aux analyses ADN a permis d’identifier certains restes.

Учитывая сложность положения в связи с эксгумацией и опознанием жертв вооруженных конфликтов на территории бывшей СФРЮ, объясняемую тем, что останки эксгумируются по истечении нескольких лет и находятся в таком состоянии, когда классические методы опознания являются недостаточными, надежное опознание останков обеспечивается методом ДНК-анализа.
