Im Gegensatz zu „low-grade“ duktalen In-situ-Karzinomen (lg-DCIS), konnte eine eindeutige Vorläuferrolle und das damit verbundene Progressionsrisiko für atypische duktale Hyperplasien (ADH), lobuläre Neoplasien (LN) und flache Epithelatypien (FEA) bislang nicht eindeutig nachgewiesen werden.
