The abolishment of the post has been enabled by the restructuring of the present Technical Support Services. In the proposed structure, some of the functions of the abolished post of Logistics Officer, including responsibility for the preparation of management reports and monitoring the performance of the Sections under the Logistics Services, would be moved to the Chiefs of Section, that is the Chiefs of the Logistics Operations, Supply, Transport and Engineering Sections of the new Logistics Services
