For instance biological photosynthesis is autopoietic, because it diffuses water with sun energy, and this chemical energy is now available to fix carbon from atmosphere carbondioxide - to produce hydrocarbon-chains, which biological life needs. This reaction can not be strait be interfered from physics and chemistry fudamentals, but it of course is rising from them - with lifes own entsymatically combined features.

Esimerkikiksi biologinen fotosynteesi on autopoieettiesti omalakinen, koska se hajottaa veden aurinkoenergian avulla, js käyttää tätä kemiallista energiaansa hiilen fiksaukseen ilmakehän hiilidioksidista - tuottamaan elämän tarvitsemia hiilivetyketjuja. Tätä reaktioreittiä ei voida suoraan johtaa fysiikan tai kemian peruslaeista, vaikkakin se toki nousee niistä - omine elämälle tyypillisin ensymaattisesti yhdisteltyine erityispiirteinensä eli omalakinuuksinensa.
