18 Da Tribunal de grande instance de Metz fandt, at en fortolkning af forskellige bestemmelser i faellesskabsretten var noedvendig for at afgoere sagerne mod André Ambry, besluttede den at udsaette sagen og forelaegge Domstolen foelgende praejudicielle spoergsmaal:

18 Da das Tribunal de grande instance Metz der Ansicht ist, daß die Entscheidung über die gegen Herrn Ambry erhobene Anklage eine Auslegung gemeinschaftsrechtlicher Vorschriften erfordere, hat es das Verfahren ausgesetzt, um dem Gerichtshof folgende Frage zur Vorabentscheidung vorzulegen:

18 Το tribunal de grande instance του Metz, κρίνοντας ότι η εκτίμηση του βασίμου της ποινικής διώξεως κατά του Ambry απαιτεί την ερμηνεία διαφόρων διατάξεων του κοινοτικού δικαίου, ανέστειλε τη διαδικασία για να υποβάλει στο Δικαστήριο το ακόλουθο προδικαστικό ερώτημα:

18 Since it considered that an interpretation of various provisions of Community law was necessary in order to determine whether the charges against Mr Ambry were well founded, the Tribunal de Grande Instance, Metz, stayed proceedings in order to refer the following question to the Court for a preliminary ruling:
