The brownish-red clay (Ak-1) and brownish gravelly clay (Ak-2) were derived from migmatitic rocks (consisting of granite gneisses and metasediments) and charnockites in the north and central part, while the reddish clayey sand (Ok-1) was derived from the Quaternary coastal plain sands and alluvial sands in the southern flank of Ondo State.
