L'invention concerne un nouveau procédé pour le traitement d'un diabète de type I nouvellement apparu chez des mammifères ou pour le traitement de mammifères atteints de prédiabète de type I, lequel procédé comprend l'administration au mammifère (a) d'un traitement contre les lymphocytes T et l'administration (b) d'un antigène et en option d'une composition antigénique mucosale, (a) et (b) étant administrés en même temps ou l'un après l'autre.
