There is featured a method for parallel spatial encoding MR image data that is frequency-encoded and sensitivity-encoded that includes applying an analytical transform function (200) to generate weighting coefficients for a given spatial harmonic order and detector index; acquiring partial gradient phase encoded signals (202); generating linear combinations of the frequency-encoded and sensitivity-encoded MR image data to generate a set of spatial harmonics (206) that can encode spatial frequencies; and applying at least a 1D Fourier transform to a k-space data set in which spatial frequency dimensions are fully encoded, thereby resulting in an MR image (210) of an observed object.

Cette invention concerne une technique de codage spatial parallèle pour données d'image IRM - codage en fréquence et codage en sensibilité qui consiste à : appliquer une fonction de transformation analytique (200) afin d'obtenir des coefficients de pondération pour un ordre harmonique spatial donné et un indice de détection ; obtenir des signaux à gradient de lecture partiel (202) ; créer des combinaisons linéaires de données d'image IRM codées en fréquence d'une part, en sensibilité d'autre part, afin de générer un jeu d'harmoniques spatiales (206) pouvant coder des fréquences spatiales ; et appliquer au moins une transformée 1D de Fourier à un jeu de données à espace k dans lequel des dimensions à fréquence spatiale sont entièrement codées, ce qui permet d'obtenir une image par résonance magnétique (210) d'un objet observé.
