وفيما يتعلق بالدراسة التي أعدتها آلية الخبراء بشأن الدروس المستفادة والتحديات التي تواجه إعمال حق الشعوب الأصلية في التعليم، أشار الرئيس - المقرر إلى تقرير بعنوان Nurturing the Learning Spirit of First Nation Students: The Report of the National Panel on First Nation Elementary and Secondary Education for Students on Reserve، وهو نتيجة تعاون بين حكومة كندا وجمعية الأمم الأولى.

Regarding the Expert Mechanism’s study on lessons learned and challenges to achieve the right of indigenous peoples to education, the Chairperson-Rapporteur made reference to a report entitled: Nurturing the Learning Spirit of First Nation Students: The Report of the National Panel on First Nation Elementary and Secondary Education for Students on Reserve, an outcome of collaboration between the Government of Canada and the Assembly of First Nations.
