Im Herzstillstand (37° C) durch Ischämie allein und durch Kardioplegie mit Kaliumchlorid, Kaliumcitrat und Acetylcholin wurde anhand von Bestimmungen der Substrate und Metabolite des Glykolysecyclus und des Adenylsäure-Phosphokreatin-Systems im Meerschweinchenherzen geprüft, inwieweit die anaerobe Energiebereitstellung durch Glykolyse den Energiebedarf des Herzens deckt.

Changes in concentrations of substrates and metabolites of the glycolytic system and the adenylic acid-creatine phosphate-system in guinea pigs' hearts during cardiac arrest (37° C) induced by ischemia alone, and by application of potassium chloride (KCl), potassium citrate (KCit) and acetylcholine (ACH) were studied in order to decide to what extend anaerobic energy production by glocolysis covers the energy demand of the heart.
