In one lifetime, a soul will be 'wearing the costume (having a particular body) and following traditions of that particular life play', performing its part in a certain drama upon a given planet; and when that lifetime is over, that soul sheds that body and moves on to another drama (another life), donning a new costume to play a different role, each new drama conveying its own message and teaching new lessons.
