I henhold til denne lov har Poligrafico følgende opgaver: produktion og levering af almindeligt papir og sikkerhedspapir til den offentlige administration, trykning af Den Italienske Republiks stats- og lovtidender, fremstilling af statens mønter og offentlige stempler samt produkter, der skal opfylde særlige sikkerhedskrav(2).

Aufgrund dieses Gesetzes hat das Istituto Poligrafico folgende Aufgaben: Herstellung und Lieferung von Papier und Wertpapier für die öffentliche Verwaltung des Staates; Druck des Amtsblatts und der Amtlichen Sammlung sämtlicher normativer Akte der Italienischen Republik; Prägen der Münzen und Anfertigung der Kennzeichen des Staates und sämtlicher Produkte mit den erforderlichen Merkmalen zur Gewährleistung des Schutzes der staatlichen Hoheit(2).

Με βάση αυτό τον νόμο, το Poligrafico έχει ως καθήκοντα: την παραγωγή και προμήθεια χάρτου και χαρτοσημασμένων εντύπων για τις ανάγκες των δημοσίων υπηρεσιών· την εκτύπωση της Επίσημης Εφημερίδας και της Επίσημης Συλλογής όλων των κανονιστικών πράξεων της Ιταλικής Δημοκρατίας· την κοπή των νομισμάτων του κράτους και την παραγωγή των σημάτων του κράτους και όλων εκείνων των προϊόντων που έχουν ως σκοπό να ικανοποιήσουν τις ανάγκες προστασίας της δημόσιας πίστης(2).

Under this law, it is required to supply normal paper and security paper to the public administration, to publish the Official Gazette and the official collection of all legal acts of the Italian Republic, to mint coins of the State and to manufacture marks of the State and all items with characteristics which safeguard public confidence(2).
