本発明によれば、ジペプチド合成活性を有する蛋白質、該蛋白質をコードするDNA、該DNAを含有する組換え体DNA、該組換え体DNAで形質転換された形質転換体、該形質転換体等を用いたジペプチド合成活性を有する蛋白質の製造法、ジペプチド合成活性を有する蛋白質を用いたジペプチドの製造法、およびジペプチド合成活性を有する蛋白質を生産する形質転換体または微生物の培養物等を酵素源に用いたジペプチドの製造法が提供される。
