Besides its original association with Iris prints, the word giclée has come to be somewhat loosely associated with other types of inkjet printing including processes that use dyes or fade-resistant, archival inks (pigment-based), and archival substrates primarily produced on Canon, Epson, HP and other large-format printers.

علاوه بر تداعی معنایی اصلی با چاپهای IRIS، واژهٔ جیکلا با دیگر انواع پرینتهای جوهرافشان وابستگی داشت و شامل پروسههایی است که از محو کردن پایدار، جوهرهای بایگانی (مبنی بر مواد رنگی) و شکلهای فرعی بایگانی استفاده میکرد که در ابتدا بر کنون، ایپسون، اچ پی و دیگر پرینترهای با قالببندی بزرگ تولید میشدند.
