They were carrying salt from one pool that was full of big piles of salt. We saw a couple of flocks of Painted Storks before we started to scan the pools for waders. The first pools didn’t have too many birds so we soon walked in the middle of the pools.

Altaille päästyämme olivat läheisen kylän asukkaat saapumassa tyhjentämään yhtä kuivaa suola-allasta, joka oli kahlaajia. Parkkipaikan lähialtailla oli lopulta aika vähän lintuja, joten jouduimme kävelemään altaiden keskelle pieniä teitä pitkin.
