Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Bauteiles für eine thermische Maschine, insbesondere zur, Herstellung einer Komponente für eine Turbine, einen Kompressor oder Expander, bei dem ein Rohling des Bauteils zumindest abschnittsweise durch Erodieren bearbeitet und die durch Erodieren erzeugte Oberfläche durch Gleitspanen und/oder durch Elektropolieren derart veredelt wird, dass die durch das Erodieren entstandene Recast-Schicht zumindest abschnittsweise vollständig entfernt wird.
