ويساعد الأمين العام المساعد لتنسيق السياسات والشؤون المشتركة فيما بين الوكالات وكيل الأمين العام بتقديم الدعم الموضوعي للمجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي وغيره من الهيئات الحكومية الدولية ذات الصلة والإشراف على التنسيق العام لأنشطة التعاون التقني كما يعمل أميناً لمجلس الرؤساء التنفيذيين في منظومة الأمم المتحدة.

The Assistant Secretary-General for Policy Coordination and Inter-Agency Affairs assists the Under-Secretary-General by providing substantive support to the Economic and Social Council and other relevant intergovernmental bodies and overseeing the overall coordination of technical cooperation activities, and serves as Secretary of the United Nations System Chief Executives Board (CEB).
