وينطوي استعمال الطاقة الشمسية المقترنة بالاستعمال المعتدل للأفران الصغيرة الكفؤة في استخدام الطاقة في أغراض إعادة تسخين الطعام والماء، فضلا عن استخدام أساليب الطهي بالحرارة المستبقاة في إطار التكنولوجيتين، على مكاسب جمة ولا ينبغي الحيد عنه.
