เนื่องจาก (1) กลุ่มประเทศโอเปคยังไม่มีแนวโน้มปรับลดกําลังการผลิต และกําลังการผลิตนอกกลุ่ม OPEC ยังอยู่ในเกณฑ์สูง (2) การฟื้นตัวของเศรษฐกิจโลกยังเป็นไปอย่างช้าๆ โดยเฉพาะเศรษฐกิจสหรัฐฯ และจีนซึ่งมีแนวโน้มที่จะชะลอตัวจาก ครึ่งปีแรก (3) การแข็งค่าของเงินดอลลาร์ สรอ. ตามทิศทางการปรับขึ้นอัตราดอกเบี้ยนโยบาย และ (4) การยกเลิกมาตรการคว่ําบาตรต่ออิหร่านของประเทศมหาอํานาจ ส่งผลให้ปริมาณการส่งออกน้ํามันของอิหร่านจะเพิ่มขึ้นและต่อเนื่องไปในปี 2559
