நிதி அமைச்சகம் இந்திய ரயில்வே துறையில் ரயில்கள் மோதிக் கொள்ளும் சம்பவங்கள் 2018-19ல் இல்லாமல் போய்விட்டன என்கிறது 2018-19 ஆம் ஆண்டுக்கான பொருளாதார ஆய்வறிக்கை ரயில் விபத்துகளின் எண்ணிக்கை குறித்த பிரிவு வாரியான தகவல்களின்படி, 2018-19 ஆம் ஆண்டில் இந்திய ரயில்வே துறையில் ரயில்கள் மோதிக் கொள்ளும் சம்பவங்கள் நடக்கவில்லை என்று தெரிய வந்துள்ளது. அதேபோல ரயில்கள் தடம்புரண்ட சம்பவங்கள் 2016-17ல் 78 என்ற நிலையில் இருந்து 2018-19ல் 46 என குறைந்துள்ளது.
