The invigorated law enforcement efforts undertaken by the Government of Serbia in the wake of the assassination of Prime Minister Zoran Djindjić on 11 March 2003 led to the arrest and transfer to the Tribunal of several important accused, including Franko Simatović, Jovica Stanisić and Veselin Šljivančanin.
