وشكّلت اللجنة السادسة، في جلستها الأولى، المعقودة في 3 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر، فريقا عاملا لمواصلة عمل اللجنة المخصصة لمسألة نطاق الحماية القانونية بموجب الاتفاقية المتعلقة بسلامة موظفي الأمم المتحدة والأفراد المرتبطين بها، والمنشأة عملا بقرار الجمعية العامة 56/89 المؤرخ 12 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2001، وانتخبت كريستيان فينافيزر (ليختنشتاين)، رئيسا للفريق العامل.

At its 1st meeting, on 3 October, the Sixth Committee established a Working Group to continue the work of the Ad Hoc Committee on the Scope of Legal Protection under the Convention on the Safety of United Nations and Associated Personnel, established pursuant to General Assembly resolution 56/89 of 12 December 2001, and elected Christian Wenaweser (Liechtenstein), as Chairman of the Working Group.

En su primera sesión, celebrada el 3 de octubre, la Sexta Comisión estableció un Grupo de Trabajo para que continuara la labor del Comité Especial sobre el alcance de la protección jurídica en virtud de la Convención sobre la Seguridad del Personal de las Naciones Unidas y el Personal Asociado, establecido de conformidad con la resolución 56/89 de la Asamblea General, de 12 de diciembre de 2001, y eligió Presidente del Grupo de Trabajo al Sr. Christian Wenaweser (Liechtenstein).
