وعقب قرار الدورة الاستثنائية السابعة عشرة لمؤتمر قمة رؤساء الدول الأعضاء في الهيئة الحكومية الدولية المعنية بالتنمية الذي صدر في 30 كانون الثاني/يناير 2011 داعيا الى ”الحاجة الملحة لتمديد“ فترة ولاية البرلمان، قرر البرلمان الاتحادي الانتقالي في 4 شباط/فبراير تمديد فترة ولايته لمدة ثلاث سنوات.

Following the decision of the seventeenth extraordinary session of the Assembly of Heads of State of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) on 30 January 2011 calling for the “urgent need to extend” the term of the Parliament, the Transitional Federal Parliament decided on 4 February to extend its term for three years.

A raíz de la decisión adoptada por la Asamblea de Jefes de Estado y de Gobierno de la Autoridad Intergubernamental para el Desarrollo (IGAD) en su 17° período extraordinario de sesiones, celebrado el 30 de enero de 2011, en la que se hacía referencia a la “urgente necesidad de prorrogar” el mandato del Parlamento, el 4 de febrero el Parlamento Federal de Transición decidió prorrogar su mandato por tres años.

Suite à la décision adoptée le 30 janvier 2011 à la dix-septième session extraordinaire de l’Assemblée générale des chefs d’État et de gouvernement de l’Autorité intergouvernementale pour le développement, qui évoquait la « nécessité urgente » de proroger le mandat du Parlement, le Parlement fédéral de transition a décidé le 4 février de prolonger son mandat de trois ans.
