প্রধানমন্ত্রী শ্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদীর পৌরহিত্যে বুধবার কেন্দ্রীয় মন্ত্রিসভার অর্থনৈতিক বিষয় সংক্রান্ত কমিটির বৈঠকে নুমালিগড় তেল শোধনাগারের ক্ষমতা বার্ষিক ৩ মিলিয়ন মেট্রিক টন থেকে বাড়িয়ে ৯ মিলিয়ন মেট্রিক টন করার প্রস্তাব মঞ্জুর হয়েছে।

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, has given its approval to the project for capacity expansion of Numaligarh Refinery from 3 MMTPA (Million Metric Tonne Per Annum) to 9 MMTPA. It involves setting up of crude oil pipeline from Paradip to Numaligarh and product pipeline from Numaligarh to Siliguri at a cost of Rs.22,594 crore
